Two heads are better than one but are 20+ necessary? Most great ideas are hatched in a room with three or four travel and hospitality public relations experts. MYPR has created a structure that allows the agency to be nimble and efficient with a low overhead. We want our time and effort focused on your needs and results.
Kristin Yantis was the in-house pr director for Keystone and Vail ski resorts, she opened The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch and was the assistant vice president of corporate communications for Destination Hotels & Resorts before starting her own boutique marketing communications firm in 2007.
Yantis’ strength is helping her clients get out ahead of trends to create the news. Her creativity recently was recognized by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International as one of the “Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in Sales & Marketing.” She’s been responsible for creative ideas like the Loan-a-Lab and Ski Nanny programs at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch and innovative dining programs like Kids Healthy Dining at Destination Hotels. She’s helped hotels such as Bachelor Gulch, Stowe Mountain Lodge, Miramonte Resort & Spa and Vail Cascade get listed among the top hotels in the world on prestigious lists in Conde Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure, to name a few.
Giving back also is an important part of Yantis’ career and personal values. She was a founding board member of First Descents, a kayak camp for young adults with cancer started by pro kayaker Brad Ludden. The agency also has volunteered for Roundup River Ranch and the Vail Valley Foundation.
Yantis graduated from the University of Colorado-Boulder with a Bachelor of Science in journalism.
Melissa Delekta is the newest member of the MYPR team after recently graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in journalism. While pursuing her degree at MSU, Delekta developed her public relations skills outside of the classroom as a governmental affairs intern at the university, a communications assistant for the Michigan State Housing Development Authority and a social media intern for Meridian Township. Delekta also volunteered at Susan G. Komen Mid Michigan to promote and organize their Race for the Cure and Ride for the Cure events.
Although she’ll miss cheering on her Spartans this fall in East Lansing, Delekta is excited to explore all that the Rockies have to offer.
